Elegex is committed to maintain an Occupational Health and Safety System which complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

In pursuance of this objective, Elegex undertakes to:
comply with all the relevant OHS Acts, regulations and standards of the company, which are applicable to all our activities and services

  • continuously work towards improving the effectiveness of our OHS system in order to minimize all risks associated with our line of work
  • conduct all of the necessary assessments and implement the necessary preventative measures in order to accomplish a rate of zero reportable incidents and less than 10 minor incidents per annum
  • provide all of the appropriate OHS training that needs to be done to ensure the effectiveness of the involvement of our employees concerning the OHS Act
  • support OHS awareness and responsibility among suppliers and contractors
  • measure and monitor the relevant OHS aspects and impacts of our activities and services
  • be prepared for any emergency situation and respond appropriately to rectify the situation to the best of our ability without the risk of unnecessary injury and damage
  • maintain good and open relations with our employees, clients, the authorities as well as the community
  • communicate all relevant OHS issues to our employees, authorities and the community
